Is CoverFX Vegan and Cruelty-Free?

With every makeup brand out there, it’s hard to determine what distinguishes one from another.

Some claim to be vegan and the majority actually claim to be cruelty-free.

However, the real scenario is that most brands have a limited number of vegan-friendly products, and while they claim to be cruelty-free, there’s not a leaping bunny certificate to back that up.

Cover FX seems to be a different beast, however.

Why is that? Well, according to the information publicly available on their website, they claim to be a 100% vegan and cruelty-free brand. This essentially means that EVERY product is vegan.

One thing to keep in mind, though. Cover FX does not produce eyeshadows, eyeliners, mascaras, and the like. They only produce skin cosmetics; foundations, concealers, contours, and bronzers.

If you want eyeliners, eyeshadows, and mascaras— stick around, as we mention some vegan brands that give you just that.

Is Cover FX Actually Vegan?

Cover Fx is vegan and cruelty-free

On top of what is said in the image above, their FAQ page states the following:

“Yes, all of our products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, and PETA-approved. We never test on animals.” In addition, Cover FX products are formulated without parabens, fragrance, gluten, mineral oil, talc, alkyl sulfates, phthalates, coal tar, and paraffin.

In other words, they’re more beneficial (in the long-term) to your skin and the environment.

Bottom line: Cover FX is 100% vegan.

How Cruelty-Free is Cover FX?

Cover FX also states that they are cruelty-free.

This essentially means that they don’t conduct tests on animals, and neither do their suppliers or any third-parties. In addition, they also don’t sell any of their products in countries where animal testing is required by law. (i.e: Mainland China)

Although Cover FX is not certified by companies such as Cruelty-Free International and Leaping Bunny, they’re 100% vegan, to begin with. In other words, because they sell vegan-friendly products, there’s no reason to believe they would do any animal testing.

Plus, they’re also PETA-approved, which further solidifies their cruelty-free status.
