This multivitamin contains 18 essential vitamins and minerals, which are a lot of different key nutrients packed in a single tablet. These include vitamin B12 and D, iron, iodine, and numerous others. It seems to lack omega-3 fatty acids and calcium, which are significant nutrients for vegans. 

With that being said, a single serving in this formula meets 75-100% of the daily value for each nutrient for kids 4 years old and older, which is a significant achievement. However, I’m not sure how I feel about high dosages, as you cannot consume some of these in excess, which is definitely the case with iodine, iron, and zinc. 

Therefore, I would definitely seek out professional advice before purchasing a multivitamin with such high dosages, as it could be too much for your kid, and even lead to dangerous side effects. 

What Are Multivitamins?

This occurs because we’re experiencing topsoil degradation due to destructing farming practices such as monoculture farming, which strips the soil of its nutrients without giving them back, creating an environment where fruits and vegetables are gradually becoming less nutritious.

However, for vegans, iron is not much of an issue since you can find it in a variety of plant-based foods, but what is good to have is vitamin C because it enhances iron absorption, particularly before meals. 

Look for a supplement that doesn’t exceed 100% daily value of most of the vitamins for your child’s age group, especially vitamins A, E, and K. Vitamin C and D are not a problem, particularly vitamin D because it’s a fat-soluble vitamin and most people are vitamin D deficient (including kids), and it’s not toxic unless it’s in exceptionally high doses, which doesn’t happen in a multivitamin.
