Vegan blogs allow you to find inspiration.
Not only because of the hundreds of mind-blowing recipes you couldn’t grasp your head around if you tried… but because you can find other life-changing information.
In this blog post, I want to present you with bloggers that can connect with you on a deep, emotional level. They share their vegan journey, not solely in the form of recipes, but because of different hobbies and experiences they have.
They might be into minimalism, entrepreneurship, animal-welfare… but most importantly, they all have a story to tell.
Here is a compilation of the 16 best vegan bloggers in my book:
Oh She Glows – More Than Just Recipes!
When I feel like creating a tasty dish, or a delicious, yet moderately healthy dessert, there’s only a handful of blogs I visit before making my decision.
Oh She Glows is one of those blogs.
And Angela, the founder, is one of my favorite foodie bloggers.
With over 500 healthy plant-based recipes, she shows you how you can recover from an eating disorder, and get your life back in order.
She shares more than recipes, however… she shares her story, her family, her pregnancy… everything you could wish more from an awe-inspiring person.
There’s so much to learn and appreciate… and all you have to do it follow it for free!
Eco-Vegan Gal – Authentic.
Are you ready to take charge of your life and be your best self?
The Eco-Vegan Gal has your back.
Not so much on her blog, but her popular Youtube channel; because that’s where she is the most active and where you’ll find most of her content.
She creates informative videos on topics such as nutrition, beauty, pregnancy and even does the unboxing of vegan products and analyzes them right before your eyes.
Do you wanna know how a product works before you shoot yourself in the foot? Well, the Eco-Vegan Gal is like your beautiful, authentic vegan neighbor. Check her out!
The Buddhist Chef – Feel-Good Recipes
I want to show you something cool happening with this blog… because it’s something the creator of this website did really well.
The way the website is set up comes included with a step-by-step video inside the recipe page. I believe this is ultra-handy and just makes everything easier for us.
Not only that, a lot of websites make you SCROLL DOWN like hell before you finally reach the ingredients and directions section. With the Buddhist Chef, everything is at the top of the page, which speeds up the process.
He definitely knows what he’s doing — and it shows! I’ve been using this website more and more because it’s really practical and thinks about the user.
This being said, check out this website if you can!
Hot For Food – Blazing Recipes
I’m a sucker for food blogs with personality.
It’s not just about amazing recipes. With hot for food you can learn about homemade beauty & skin recipes; what to eat in several destinations around the world…
…and you can connect with the founder through her documented journey.
Unlike other health-related food blogs, this one I visit when I feel like eating comfort food. In fact, hot for food has 2018’s best vegan cookbook! (Voted by VegNews!)
Definitely a blog you want to follow!
The Vegan Zombie – Unique!
The Vegan Zombie is an outlier.
It’s that unusual, captivating, and “not like anyone else” content creator you’ve always wanted to find on Youtube… but somehow, only years later does the recommendation pop up. Anyway… why is his channel captivating?
Because it started with a premise: A vegan cooking show in a zombie apocalypse. That’s just an insane idea that shined upon his filmmaking talent.
However, the Vegan Zombie is not solely about the vegan apocalypse… as that would be a serious understatement. In his channel, you can find content on deep and not-so-deep questions. For example… “how can you throw a vegan birthday party for kids?”
Or, you might be wondering how old vegan YouTubers dropped the vegan flag? He’s nice, he’s informative… and he just tells you how he sees it. Check him out here!
The Minimalist Vegan – Boom!
Simplicity is the aspiration for this vegan blog. That’s how Michael and Maša Ofei, the creators behind The Minimalist Vegan, live their lives.
They share with you long-form content on minimalism, mindfulness, veganism, ethical shopping, productivity, and more.
There’s a genuine, down to earth vibe that connects you to the content this couple creates.
They show you how you can feel alive, and connect with others (not just humans), by embracing and showing empathy for anything and everyone.
I was thoroughly impressed with their blog and podcast!
Vegan Richa – Amazing Recipes.
Do you wanna know what I absolutely love about Vegan Richa?
The recipes are super easy to follow and you can choose the number of servings you need based on the meal you’ll be cooking — which automatically alters the quantity of the ingredients you’ll need to prepare the recipe.
It’s amazing… and just shows how recipe websites have come a long way. Definitely one of my favorite websites… since it’s super simple and useful.
Nutrition Facts – More Than Just A Blog.
I can’t say enough about Dr. Greger, the founder of Nutrition Facts.
He has created an encyclopedia of medical knowledge for plant-based folk.
The amount of thorough information you can find on his website is simply abysmal.
Nothing comes close to what he does. The amount of effort he puts into creating solid and evidence-based advice is otherworldly.
To give you an example, I used to believe a vitamin b12 supplement with 100 mcg was enough to hit the daily recommended intake. That’s because I assumed the daily recommended intake for vitamin B12 was 2.4 mcg.
Yet, I was wrong… and he had convincing evidence to prove it.
If you want to ensure your health is on point and you’re doing all the right things as a vegan, you can either visit a doctor or better, visit NutritionFacts.org.
Nutriciously – Free Ticket Into Vegan Nutrition
Want to become vegan and avoid all the dangerous (nutritional) traps?
Nutritiously is one of those websites you have to applaud. The effort, dedication and thought that goes into creating the free resources they offer leaves me speechless.
It’s hard to conceive how this joyful website was entirely created by an amazing couple, Lars and Alena.
I would totally recommend you to take their FREE 6-part nutrition course if you want to thrive and do a vegan diet the right way.
Even if you’re already a vegan, you can still add to your knowledge. They share tips, recipes, and free courses on how to address the different challenges that come with this lifestyle change. You definitely want to check them out here.
ChooseVeg – Plant-Based Education
How do you start when it comes to plant-based food? Folks get confused when it comes to picking up greens from a near farm (or local supermarket) and create magical food.
If you want a place to be educated in a step-by-step fashion on how to follow a plant-based diet… ChooseVeg is probably that place in our online world.
They teach you how to eat well, nourish your body, and morph into the best version of you by simply changing your eating habits.
This is hands down 1 out of the 2 best sites to help you thrive on a vegan diet.
Plus, you can connect with a community of like-minded individuals to help you out!
My Vegan Journal – Live Better With Jackie!
Who else can offer you better advice than someone who’s been vegan for more than 30 years!? (That’s 27 more years than me!)
Jackie is the living proof you can be a long-time vegan and not die from b12 deficiency.
Here’s someone who’s hands-on into Health & Wellbeing by serving as a Coordinator of the Linking Education, Activity and Food (LEAF) Grant, and as a Health Policy Consultant for Public Health Advocates.
What I love about Jackie is that she doesn’t keep her veganism to herself. She encourages her students to become active in promoting social justice, animal welfare, and environmental protection.
And she might also be the living proof veganism is the key to looking young!
If you want to learn everything about veganism, animal justice and follow the Vegan Way, Jackie is probably the best person to listen to.

Rich Roll – The Ultra Athlete.
Who is Rich Roll? Well, It might be the baddest vegan on the planet.
“Rich is a 50-year old, accomplished vegan ultra-endurance athlete and former entertainment attorney turned full-time wellness & plant-based nutrition advocate, popular public speaker, husband, father of 4 and inspiration to people worldwide as a transformative example of courageous and healthy living.”
He couldn’t have described himself any better. For those who say you can’t be an extremely competitive athlete and vegan at the same time, Rich Roll is an example of the contrary.”
For those of you saying you can’t be powered by a plant-based diet, and a world-class athlete at the same time… Rich Roll is the living proof of the contrary.
He even released a #1 best-selling book in 2012, Finding Ultra: Rejecting Middle Age, Becoming One of the World’s Fittest Men and Discovering Myself.
Besides having his blog where he shares his thoughts on veganism, sustainability and social norms… he also has his own podcast with more than 400 episodes! For any ambitious vegan out there… Rich Roll is the man to follow!
The Vegan Strategist – Thought-Provoking
Don’t let yourself be fooled by the simple nature of this website.
The Vegan Strategist might be the boldest and yet the most intelligently written content on veganism and animal activism on the internet.
That’s right, expect to learn about topics you never thought about. Strategies (not any kind of strategy), that can bring us all closer to a more compassionate, vegan future. The content you’ll find is very in-depth and it gives you different insights from any other website out there.
If I could describe it with one word it would be… fascinating.

This Rawsome Vegan Life – Raw Veganism!
Since I believe there’s a great number of people following a raw-vegan diet, I felt compelled to include this amazing blog here.
It wouldn’t be fair to the raw-raw community if I didn’t include something catering to their particular food tastes. And who else to shower you with some awesome raw vegan recipes, with none other than Emily Von Euw.
She’s so skilled at what she does you can even find some of her recipes at One Green Planet. She’s passionate, beautiful, inspiring… and lives her life fully!
There’s so much you can learn from reading her recipes! Check her out!
