The Vegan Shopping Guide

I often get asked about the products I use and the resources I recommend.

That’s why I think this page is helpful for those looking for trustworthy recommendations. These products are all things I want to buy or use myself. This being said, I do get a small commission from some of the products you see here at no extra cost to you.

The other reason why I felt compelled to create this page is that I saw brands advertise products that are rather shady. For example— supplement brands that take advantage of poorly documented science to sell their products. (nootropics improving intelligence, anyone?)

More… vegan clothing brands that are everything but sustainable because (1) they use the least environmentally friendly fabrics to create their clothes; (2) they use plastic-based packaging, and (3) they source their clothes from China (or any other country) where people are paid cents.

Anyway, here’s some of the products I like:

Best Quick Guide On How To Successfully Follow A Vegan Diet!
a-z guide to veganism
If you’re following a vegan diet, but are afraid to run into a nutrient deficiency — because you’re not sure you’re doing a vegan diet the right way — this Vegan Starter Kit from Nutriciously ensures your diet is 100% bulletproof.

This is especially useful if you’re not interested in reading deep into nutrition, and just want an easy, simple to follow system.

Potentially The Most Life-Changing Book On Nutrition!
Without exaggerating, this is hands down the best book on vegan nutrition. It can help you reverse or prevent the majority of modern-time diseases. For many, this books has changed their lives at a moment where they needed to be pulled out of the abysm. If you don’t know who Dr. Michael Greger is, please let me point you to his amazing website, Nutrition Facts.
My Favorite Curated Vegan Box
best vegan box
If you’re into vegan snacks, beauty or make-up products, Vegan Cuts is a rather popular subscription box service, where a team of experts select a panoply of snacks or beauty products based on their quality and ingredients, and send them to you on a monthly or quarterly basis. This allows you to discover products you can fall in love with!
My Favorite Superfood Powder
superfood powder
For those of you that struggle to get in your veggie intake every day (5+ servings) this is a great solution. Tastes great and it provides you all the amazing micronutrients that might go missing from getting lazy with your vegan diet. Therefore, if you feel like you’re not disciplined enough to mantain a well-balanced plant-based diet, this will help you acquire a lot of important nutrients needed for optimal health.
My Favorite Vitamin B12
vitamin b12
If you have been getting your anual supply of b12 for more than $10, then you’ve been getting ripped off. Nature’s Bounty B12 has 200 tablets, each one with 1000mcg. This means you only need to take it twice a week, and it should last you for more than a year. Unfortunately, this product is only available in the United States, but if you’re in Europe, this is the best choice.
My Favorite Vitamin D
vitamin D
Did you know 80% of the people on the planet are vitamin D deficient? If you live in a less sunny place, or you don’t get out a lot (like me), then you probably want to supplement using Vitamin D. This is especially important for vegans since there aren’t a lot of foods fortified with Vitamin D.
My Favorite Reusable Cup
Yeti
Just the best resusable cup in the world. I use it everyday for keeping my coffee or tea hot. Then if I want something cold just add ice and it keeps everything ice cold for HOURS. The ice won’t melt for 6+ hours according to my experience.
My Favorite Water Bottle.
water bottle
Say not to plastic water bottles by keeping a reusable, stainless steel water bottle by your side. This happens to be my favorite one, and unlike the Yeti above, this one is super portable, so if you’re constantly on the move, travelling or hiking, this one is perfect! As a vegan, you probably already own one, but if you don’t, this one is a wonderful choice.
My Favorite Vegan Protein
KOS organic protein
Plant-based protein is a daily staple for me. I use it in on every morning banana shake, in certain recipes, or just as a stand alone snack. Since I’m a bit of a gym freak, I love getting more protein into my diet, but I truly think this can benefit anyone because of the amount of micronutrients it has. It only has 2g of sugar per serving, and is 100% organic. I love it.
My Favorite Vegan Cookbook
thug kitchen
This vegan cookbook has been a lifesaver. To be honest, I’m the one doing the cooking instead of my wife. And if you’re also in that position, you know how easy it is to run out of ideas. Well, the Thug Kitchen helps me come with easy, fun recipes that keep my wife smiling. This is by far the most popular vegan cookbook.
My Favorite Foldable Shopping Cart
foldable cart
This is really helpful whenever I head out to the farmer’s market, and need to use public transportation while I’m at it. Not only does it make it easier to carry my groceries, but it’s also a good way to cut back on reusable plastic bags, or just plastic bags. Sometimes people call this an old woman’s trolley, but it’s getting more and more trendy, whereas we’re able to see younger people using it.
My Favorite Vegan Cereal
evoke cereals
If I’m having a quick breakfast, I want something that is packed with nutrients. However, it’s not always that you can find a healthy alternative that is also delicious. I’ve written about the 10 different vegan cereals, and among them, Evoke was the most well-balanced one. This being said, it’s not the cheapest of cereals because it uses organic ingredients.
